Motorcyclist Fatally Collides with Two Vehicles on Highway 16 in Tacoma

 
TACOMA, WA (August 23, 2023) – Officers confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 16 on August 15.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 5 Freeway around 5:41 PM. Based on a report, the victim was riding a motorcycle westbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he collided with a Ford pickup and a Mercedes sedan. The impact ejected him from his motorcycle.
 
As a result, the rider suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews closed portions of the westbound side of the highway while clearing operations took place.
