Woman Killed in Aurora Pedestrian Accident on South Parker Road at East Dartmouth Avenue

 
AURORA, CO (November 26, 2023) — A 57-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on South Parker Road on Sunday, November 5.
 
According to the Aurora Police Department, their initial investigation determined that at about 10:15 p.m., the woman ran across South Parker Road at East Dartmouth Avenue. After that, a 2016 Chevy Suburban hit her.
 
Passersby performed CPR on the woman when officers arrived at the area. After that, paramedics rushed the woman by ambulance to a hospital. She later died from sustained injuries, APD said.
 
The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the woman’s identity.
 
Police said that the driver of the Chevy, a 67-year-old man, dialed 911 and stayed on scene. He cooperated with the investigation.
 
Police said speed and/or impairment do not appear as a factor in the incident.
 
The crash is Aurora’s 60th traffic-related fatality in 2023.
