Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Westheimer Road in Houston

 
HOUSTON, TX (October 17, 2022) – Police confirmed the death of a woman following a pedestrian accident in the 6400 block of Westheimer Road on October 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 2:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the woman was walking on the road at the time of the accident. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle hit her and attempted to leave the scene.
 
As a result, Houston police, said the victim died in the incident. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
Police also said bystanders detained the driver of the vehicle as the suspect attempted to flee the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no further information is available.
