Woman Fatally Injured in U-Haul Truck Accident on Remount Drive

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 10, 2024) — A 25-year-old woman died in a U-Haul truck accident on Friday, August 30.
 
According to the San Antonio Police, the crash took place in the 200 block of Remount Drive at around 8:00 p.m. Friday. They said a family rented a U-Haul truck to transport furniture as they moved into a new home.
 
The 25-year-old woman requested her mother to move the truck forward while she stood behind it to guide her. However, the mother accidentally put the vehicle in reverse instead of drive. Then she hit the accelerator.
 
It resulted in the vehicle striking her daughter.
 
First responders brought the woman to a nearby hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries and died shortly after arrival.
 
Police confirmed that there were no criminal charges filed in connection with the incident.
