According to Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the crash took place on 11 Freeway near mile marker 6, at about 2:20 p.m.

An initial investigation determined that a blue 2022 Ford F-250 pickup moved north in the southbound lanes, approaching a gray 2017 Toyota Tacoma pickup.
