Ba Thi Parham Identified in Fatal Crash in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (June 19, 2024) – The Tucson Police Department identified 82-year-old Ba Thi Parham who died in a crash on 12th Avenue on June 5.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Valencia Road around 11:30 AM. Based on a report, a white Toyota Solara was traveling westbound on Valencia Road when it ran into the back of the dump truck.
As a result, the driver and Parham, a passenger of the Toyota, sustained serious injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victims to Banner University Medical Center. Subsequently, Parham died at the hospital.
Tucson Police said the dump truck driver was not hurt.
The driver of the Toyota was not impaired but TPD issued them a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
