12-Year-Old Victoria Dai Girl Dead in Bicycle Crash on Davis Boulevard

 
SOUTHLAKE, TX (August 16, 2023) — A 12-year-old girl identified as Victoria Dai, of Southlake, died in a bicycle crash on Thursday, August 3.
 
According to the Southlake Police Department, at around 9:30 a.m., they received reports of a crash involving a white Chevy pickup truck and a 12-year-old girl riding a bicycle. Southlake police and fire crews responded to the scene at the 100 block of Davis Boulevard.
 
Reports said the truck traveled northbound on Davis Boulevard. At the same time, the girl rode her bike on the sidewalk adjacent to the street.
 
When the truck turned into the shopping center on Davis Boulevard, it collided with the 12-year-old girl on her bike.
 
Paramedics transported the 12-year-old in critical condition to a hospital in Grapevine where medical personnel later pronounced her dead.
 
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office later released her identity. They said she lived in the neighborhood behind the shopping plaza.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
