Jacob Wnuk, Fraser Anderson, and Christopher Scandridge Dead, Daniel Rivera Charged after Fatal Cypress Golf Cart Crash

 
CYPRESS, TX (August 16, 2023) — Jacob Wnuk, Fraser Anderson, and Christopher Scandridge died in a golf cart crash on Sunday, August 6.
 
According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the crash took place at the intersection of Greenhouse Road and Towne Lake Parkway at about 3:00 a.m.
 
Officials said 21-year-old Daniel Rivera drove a black Cadillac Escalade. Then he ran a stop sign at a four-way stop. After that, he crashed into the golf cart at the intersection.
 
Wnuk, Anderson, and Scandridge were in the golf cart at the time of the crash. Paramedics pronounced Wnuk and Anderson dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics transported Scandridge to an area hospital where he died.
 
There were three people inside the SUV at the time of the crash, including a woman and an 8-year-old child. Gonzalez said the child was OK, and they handed the child over to relatives. Paramedics rushed the man and woman in the SUV to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Harris County Sheriff’s Office said officers arrested Rivera on Sunday evening. Then they charged him with three counts of murder. They said he drank alcohol before the crash and was intoxicated.
