Bicyclist Vicente Chiquet Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (April 30, 2024) – The Tucson Police Department identified Vicente Chiquet who sustained injuries in a hit-and-run on Euclid Avenue on April 12.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Helen Street. Based on a report, Chiquet was riding his bicycle near Lidda Design when a 2006 GMC Sierra pick-up truck hit him.
 
The impact threw Vicente into the air, making him hit a curb. The driver of the truck initially pulled over and checked on Chiquet. When people started coming out of Lidda Design, the man got back into his vehicle and fled.
 
As a result, Vicente suffered a few broken bones and cuts and bruises.
 
Officers ask anyone with information to call 88-CRIME.
