Vianey Ivey Identified in Fatal Anaheim Crash, Luis Pedroza Arrested for DUI

 
ANAHEIM, CA (January 4, 2022) – Anaheim police identified 36-year-old Vianey Granillo Ivey of Hawaiian Gardens as the victim who died in a crash on Magnolia Avenue on December 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Ball Road around 2:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, 36-year-old Luis Javier Garcia Pedroza of Anaheim was driving southbound on Magnolia prior to the crash. Subsequently, he drove through a red light and crashed into Ivey’s eastbound car. The crash involved six more vehicles.
 
As a result, Ivey died in the incident.
 
Another victim was taken to an area hospital with moderate injuries. In addition, nine others complained of pain but did not require hospitalization.
 
Police arrested and booked Pedroza on suspicion of driving under the influence of a drug.
 
As of now, an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
