Jenny Ybarra Dies in Lubbock Car Crash, Alekcia Ramirez and Elias Ramirez Injured

 
LUBBOCK, TX (January 4, 2022) – The Lubbock Police Department identified 32-year-old Jenny Ybarra as the victim who died in a crash on 45th Street on December 23.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Avenue Q just before 11:30 PM. Based on a report, Ybarra was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Alekcia Ramirez.
 
The car was traveling north on Avenue Q when Ramirez lost control and struck a pole barricade. Then, it struck multiple vehicles in a car lot before rolling over and striking a light pole.
 
As a result, Ybarra died after suffering grave injuries.
 
Ramirez and a second passenger, 34-year-old Elias Ramirez, suffered moderate injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
