Vanessa Flor-Garcia Killed, Shondale Kyles Arrested in Stolen Car Accident on Litchfield Road [Goodyear, AZ]

Vanessa Flor-Garcia Identified in Fatal Car Accident in Goodyear

 
GOODYEAR, AZ (January 9, 2024) – The Goodyear Police Department identified 35-year-old Vanessa Flor-Garcia who died in a stolen car accident on Litchfield Road on January 2.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Indian School Road. Based on the report, the incident began near Pebble Creek Parkway and McDowell Road around 8:50 PM when officers responded to a shoplifting incident and spotted a stolen vehicle leaving the scene.
 
Subsequently, the car ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle at Litchfield Road. The collision caused the stolen vehicle to roll over several times, ejecting Flor-Garcia, a passenger in the car.
 
As a result, Flor-Garcia suffered grave injuries in the incident. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
 
The driver of the stolen car, 47-year-old Shondale Kyles, fled from the car and stole another vehicle. He caused another crash and had the second car disabled.
 
Crews transported Kyles to the hospital before police booked him into jail on multiple charges, including manslaughter, DUI, and reckless driving.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
