Lydia Koelzow Dies, Sebastian Pendergast Sustains Injuries After La Grange Car Crash

 
LA GRANGE, CA (January 9, 2024) — Lydia Koelzow died while Sebastian Pendergast suffered injuries after a crash on Highway 132 on Tuesday night, December 26.

The fatal incident involving a 2008 Subaru Outback occurred west of Zarzamora Street at around 7:15 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officials stated that the Subaru, driven by 20-year-old Pendergast who had 17-year-old Koelzow aboard, had reportedly traveled at a high rate of speed along 132.

Pendergast then allegedly failed to negotiate a turn, causing the Subaru to slam into a tree.

The collision left Koelzow dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Pendergast survived and received airlift transport to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of severe injuries.

Authorities are still looking into the factors surrounding the accident.
