Tyler Eggers Arrested, One Hospitalized after Pursuit Collision on Niwot Road and Audubon Avenue

 
NIWOT, CO (February 26, 2024) — Authorities arrested 31-year-old Tyler Eggers after a pursuit crash on Wednesday, February 14.
 
The incident began on Wednesday afternoon when a police officer saw Eggers in a Ford Fusion in the area of Lashley Street and Third Avenue. The officer knows that Eggers had several outstanding warrants. He then tried to pull up towards Eggers as he activated his overhead lights.
 
However, Eggers accelerated and turned south on Lashley Street, and the pursuit began. The officer said that during the chase, Eggers traveled at least 75 miles per hour.
 
During the high-speed chase, Eggers swerved between two cars and disregarded two red signal lights. Reports said he almost crashed into a vehicle.
 
After that, the officer was notified by his sergeant to end the pursuit. He last saw the Ford turn east on Colorado 66 from Pace Street.
 
Then at around 3:45 p.m., Eggers was part of a two-vehicle crash outside Niwot High School on Niwot Road and Audubon Avenue.
 
Paramedics transported one person to the hospital following the crash.
 
Authorities then arrested Eggers on multiple charges. He is currently in custody on a $10,000 bond.
