Fatal Red Light Accident on Sam Houston Tollway

 
HOUSTON, TX (June 17, 2024) – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a 17-year-old and 19-year-old died in a fiery car accident on Sam Houston Tollway on June 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Little York Road. Based on a report, the two men ran a red light at the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
Subsequently, a Toyota Camry with two women inside struck it. The impact sent the men’s vehicle into a light pole, where it burst into flames.
 
As a result, both men inside the Camaro died in the incident. Officials did not release their names, pending kin notification.
 
The occupants in the Camry stayed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
