Fatal Rollover Crash on Hirsch Road in Houston
HOUSTON, TX (May 9, 2024) – The Houston Police Department confirmed that one person died in a rollover accident in the 10400 block of Hirsch Road on April 28.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 5:00 AM. Based on a report, one of the victims was driving a silver Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck southbound on Hirsch Road at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, the driver failed to maintain his lane and veered off the roadway. The truck then hit the center median, rolled several times, and came to rest east of the railroad tracks. The impact threw the passenger off the vehicle.
As a result, both the driver and passenger in the truck sustained grave injuries and died at the scene. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences did not release their names, pending notification of next of kin.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
