Two Men Airlifted after Solo-Car Crash on North Eldridge Parkway

 
HOUSTON, TX (April 8, 2024) — Two men sustained injuries in a solo-vehicle accident on North Eldridge Parkway on Sunday, March 31.
 
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place in the 6400 block of North Eldridge Parkway at around 6:30 a.m.
 
HCSO said a vehicle went off the road and crashed into two utility poles. One of the poles split in two due to the force of the crash.
 
The impact of the incident also ejected two male occupants inside the car. Investigators believe they did not wear their seatbelts.
 
Firefighters from the CyFair Volunteer Fire Department, who were just feet away, heard the accident. They then called Precinct 5 and then provided medical aid to the victims.
 
Crews airlifted both men with critical injuries to the hospital via Life Flight. One of the men underwent an emergency surgery.
 
As of writing, deputies haven’t determined if impairment played a role in the crash. However, they said speed appeared to be a factor.
