WICKENBURG, AZ (February 6, 2023) – Officers confirmed that two people died in a two-car crash on Highway 93 on January 20.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near milepost 173 shortly after 1:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, a vehicle was traveling on the highway prior to the crash. Subsequently, it attempted to pass a slower-moving commercial vehicle and a collision occurred.
 
As a result, a passenger in the first vehicle and the driver of the commercial vehicle suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officers did not release their names, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the first vehicle, another passenger, and a passenger in the second vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics transported them to valley hospitals for treatment.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
