Fatal Visalia Crash on Demaree Street at Whitendale Avenue

 
VISALIA, CA (March 21, 2023) – The Visalia Police Department confirmed that two people died in a crash on Demaree Street on March 15.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Whitendale Avenue around 12:21 PM. Based on a report, a black GMC truck was traveling north on Damaree at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, its driver veered into the opposite lane of traffic and collided with a southbound black Cadillac sedan.
 
As a result, the driver and passenger in the Cadillac suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet release their names, pending notification of the next of kind.
 
The driver in the GMC truck sustained injuries and was taken to Kaweah Medical Center in stable condition.
 
As of now, it’s still unclear if either drugs or alcohol played a factor in the fatal collision. In addition, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
