Fatal Benson Car Crash, Police Identify Adolfo Valdez, Claudia Espinoza, Lamar Bryant and Desi Draughn

 
BENSON, AZ (March 21, 2023) – Officers identified 30-year-old Adolfo Valdez, 50-year-old Claudia Espinoza, 36-year-old Lamar Bryant, and 47-year-old Desi Draughn as the victims who died in a crash on 10 Freeway on March 14.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near milepost 306.
 
Based on a report, a westbound semi-truck pulling a trailer crossed the median and crashed into Bryant’s eastbound tractor-trailer. Subsequently, it crashed into Valdez’s pickup truck.
 
As a result, Valdez and Espinoza died in the crash. Bryant and Draughn died after their truck caught fire in the incident.
 
The driver of the westbound semi that caused the collision remains in the hospital in critical condition.
 
As of now, an investigation into what led up to the crash is ongoing.
