Vehicle Catches Fire in Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 395

 
KRAMER JUNCTION, CA (March 10, 2023) San Bernardino County Fire Department officials confirmed that two people died in a head-on car crash on Highway 395 on March 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 1:46 PM. Based on a report, a silver sedan collided with a maroon sedan head-on.
 
Subsequently, one of the vehicles caught fire, trapping its occupants inside.
 
When fire crews extinguished the flames, they located two people inside the car. An attending coroner pronounced the victims dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release their identities, pending kin notification.
 
Crews requested a Mercy Air helicopter to transport one person to Antelope Valley Medical Center in critical condition.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
