Fatal Truck Accident on First Street in Garland

 
GARLAND, TX (March 29, 2023) – The Garland Police Department confirmed that two people died in an accident on South First Street on March 24.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Washington Street approximately 7:20 AM.
 
Based on a report, a truck and a car collided in the lanes. However, the cause of the accident was not immediately available.
 
As a result, one person suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews transported another person to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
Police also said one of the drivers is facing charges in the crash.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
