Passenger Killed, Brian Fogel Detained in Fatal DUI Accident in Grass Valley

 
GRASS VALLEY, CA (March 29, 2023) – Police put 26-year-old Brian Fogel in custody after a fatal car accident on Highway 49 on March 26.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at McKnight Way around 3:15 PM.
 
Based on a report, Fogel was driving find a 1996 Subaru Legacy on the highway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle overturned off the west side of the freeway.
 
As a result, Fogel’s female passenger died at the hospital after suffering severe injuries.
 
A dog was also killed in the crash.
 
Fogel sustained major injuries. However, CHP said an arrest is pending while the suspect receives medical treatment.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
