Fatal Car Crash on Main Street in Huntington Beach

 
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (March 29, 2023) – The Huntington Beach Police Department confirmed that a 22-year-old man died in a high-speed crash on Highway 180 on March 26.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at 13th Street around 2:30 AM. Based on a report, a 2014 Ford Focus was traveling southbound on Main at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown circumstances, the car crashed on the road.
 
As a result, its driver from Huntington Beach was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
The two passengers were transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
 
It’s unclear at this time if impairment played a role in the accident. As of now, police ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact HBPD Traffic Investigator D. Demetre at 714-536-5670.
