Head-On Crash on Ahtanum Road in Yakima
YAKIMA, WA (December 10, 2024) – Yakima County Sheriff’s deputies confirmed that two people suffered injuries in a head-on crash in the 22000 block of Ahtanum Road on November 24.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 3:00 PM. Based on a report, it was snowing in the area and snow was on the roadway at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, two vehicles collided head-on.
As a result, two people were hurt in the incident. Emergency crews transported one of the victims to Harborview with serious injuries.
Responders closed Ahtanum Road for about five hours, diverting traffic.
The YCSO Traffic Unit said there were signs of intoxicants at the scene.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
