CHANDLER, AZ (December 5, 2024) — 24-year-old Pierre Lopez died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, November 23.
 
According to the Chandler police, the accident took place on Chandler Boulevard just east of Arizona Avenue at about 1:30 a.m.
 
Chandler Police believe a car moved eastbound on Chandler Boulevard. Then it tried to make a left turn. That is when it crashed into the motorcycle driven by Lopez that traveled westbound.
 
Lopez suffered fatal injuries and responding officers pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Officers ruled out speed and impairment as factors in the incident.
 
The investigation is still underway.
