Two Hospitalized after Vancouver DUI Crash on St. Johns Boulevard and 29th Street
VANCOUVER, WA (May 28, 2024) — Two people sustained injuries after a head-on accident on St. Johns Boulevard on Wednesday, May 15.
The Vancouver Police Department said the crash happened on St. Johns Boulevard and East 29th Street at about 10:00 p.m.
Officers responded to the scene to and discovered two vehicles that had crashed head-on.
One of the vehicles, a red Chevy Silverado, drove north on St. Johns Boulevard. At the same time, a tan Toyota Tundra drove south. The Silverado then crossed into the southbound lanes and collided with the Tundra.
Responding officers transported both the driver and passenger of the Tundra to the hospital for injuries. According to VPD, their injuries include a dislocated hip and broken bones.
Authorities arrested the driver of the Silverado on two counts of vehicular assault and DUI.
The Vancouver Police Department Traffic Unit handles the ongoing investigation of the incident.
