PHOENIX, AZ (August 22, 2023) – Crews with the Phoenix Fire Department transported two people to the hospital following a pedestrian accident on Cactus Road on August 3.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Paradise Village Parkway. Based on a report, a vehicle hit the woman and her child in the lanes.
 
As a result, fire crews said both victims sustained injuries in the incident. Crews transported the child to the hospital in critical condition.
 
Police did not suspect intoxication as a factor in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing to identify and locate the hit-and-run driver. In addition, no other details are available.
