KALAMA, WA (December 20, 2023) — Two people suffered fatal injuries in a train and car crash on the 5 Freeway on Sunday, December 17.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, a vehicle went off the 5 Freeway. Then it crashed into a train car near Kalama.
 
Authorities confirmed that two people died in the accident. However, they have not released the identities of the deceased victims.
 
WSP hasn’t reported how many people were in the vehicle.
 
There are also no reports if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
