Two Killed, Jimmy Saravia Suffer Injuries after Fresno County Head-On Crash

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (October 27, 2022) — Two people died while Jimmy Saravia was injured after a head-on car crash on Highway 33 on Friday night, October 21.

The fatal collision happened at around 11:04 p.m. on Shaw Avenue, according to the Los Banos-area California Highway Patrol. Authorities said a Ford, driven by a woman who had a male passenger, traveled northbound on the highway.

For reasons still unknown, the Ford traveled into the southbound lane and collided head-on into another vehicle towing a two-axle flatbed trailer loaded with fertilizer, operated by 19-year-old Saravia.

The force of impact caused fatal injuries to the occupants of the Ford, both of whom died at the scene. Their identities were withheld pending family notification.

Meanwhile, Saravia sustained minor injuries. It was unclear if he received treatment at a hospital.

The CHP stated that the influence of drugs or alcohol did not appear as a factor in the collision.

No other information is made available at this time. However, an investigation is still ongoing.
