Girl Dies after Hit by Several Vehicles in San Jose Pedestrian Accident

 
SAN JOSE, CA (October 27, 2022) — A girl from San Jose died after being struck by several vehicles in a pedestrian accident on 680 Freeway early Monday, October 3.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred at around 12:37 a.m. south of Jackson Avenue.

Authorities said a female child ran towards the path of a GMC Canyon. As a result, the vehicle struck the unidentified girl.

The victim then was hit by five vehicles, one of which was a tractor-trailer combination. The unidentified girl died due to sustained injuries.

One vehicle avoided the girl but the evasive maneuver caused the driver to lose control. It then resulted into a rollover crash on the shoulder of I-680.

The driver of the said vehicle emerged from the incident unharmed.
