Troy Hack Struck and Killed by Semi-Truck in Edinburg
EDINBURG, TX (July 17, 2023) – The Edinburg Police Department identified 55-year-old Troy Walter Hack of Edinburg who died in a pedestrian accident on Cano Street on July 10.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 10th Avenue around 8:36 AM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing the street at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, the driver of a truck tractor traveling southbound struck him.
As a result, Hack suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Emergency crews took the victim to a hospital, where he died.
The driver of the truck stopped and tried to help.
Police said there were no indications of intoxication.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
