James McNeil Identified in Fatal Single-Car Accident on 10 Freeway in Vidor

 
VIDOR, TX (July 17, 2023) – Officials identified 41-year-old James McNeil of Orange who died in a car accident on 10 Freeway on July 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at about 6:20 AM. Based on a report, McNeil was driving a 2004 Ford Expedition west on the freeway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he failed to control his speed and struck the 861-exit collapsible barrier.
 
As a result, McNeil suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
A passenger in the Ford, 35-year-old Henry Gonzales of Orange, was transported to CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
