Ray Garcia Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (May 9, 2024) – Officials identified Ray Garcia of Phoenix as the tow truck driver who suffered injuries in a hit-and-run on Loop 101 on April 18.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 27th Avenue around 9:15 AM. Based on a report, Garcia is a tow truck driver who was helping a disabled vehicle in the lanes.
 
Due to unknown circumstances, another vehicle came and hit him. The impact caused him to fly into the air, spin around, and then land in the middle of the freeway. The driver reportedly fled the scene.
 
As a result, Garcia suffered broken bones from the incident.
 
DPS cited a 33-year-old woman for unsafe lane change.
