Tina Everly and Rebecca Michael Hurt in Rollover Crash on Highway 97 and Monse Bridge Road
BREWSTER, WA (September 19, 2024) — Tina Everly and Rebecca Michael sustained injuries in a rollover accident on Monday, September 9.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 97 and Monse Bridge Road at around 2:54 p.m.
WSP said a red 2013 Mini Cooper, driven by 51-year-old Tina Everly, of Brewster, traveled southbound on Highway 97. At the same time, a silver 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 59-year-old Daniel Bayha, also from Brewster, moved westbound on Cameron Lake Road.
Then the Chevrolet tried to cross Highway 97 when the Mini Cooper crashed into it. Due to the impact of the collision, the Mini Cooper overturned and came to a stop on the southbound shoulder. Meanwhile, the Silverado blocked Highway 97.
Paramedics brought Everly and her passenger, 24-year-old Rebecca Michael, of Anchorage, AK, to Three Rivers Hospital with injuries.
Bayha was not hurt in the incident.
WSP said officers determined Bayha’s failure to yield when crossing Highway 97 was the cause of the crash. All parties wore seatbelts when the crash occurred.
WSP handles the ongoing investigation of the incident.
