Dallas Crime Scene Analyst Carmen Fletcher Dead in Two-Vehicle Accident on Bryant Irvin Road
FORT WORTH, TX (September 19, 2024) — 34-year-old Carmen Fletcher died in a two-vehicle accident on Friday, September 6.
According to the Dallas Police Department, the fatal two-car crash occurred on the 5200 block of Bryant Irvin Road at about 6:30 p.m.
Officers responded to the crash site. They pronounced one of the drivers, later identified as Fletcher, dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Dallas Police said Fletcher worked as a crime scene analyst since 2015. She was supposed to receive the Crime Scene Investigator of the Year Award from the North Texas Forensic Association at an event this week.
According to Lisa Miller, Fletcher’s mother, “She’s been nominated multiple times, and they finally told me that she was getting the award and she did not know that.”
In addition, Miller said Fletcher dreamed of becoming a police officer.
The Fort Worth Police Traffic Investigations Unit handles the ongoing investigation of the incident.
