Timothy Garrison and Seven Others Injured in Two-Car Crash on Van Buren Road and East Badger Road

 
EVERSON, WA (September 22, 2023) — Eight people including 19-year-old Timothy Garrison of Ferndale sustained injuries in a two-car crash.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash took place on Van Buren Road near East Badger Road at about 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17.
 
A 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 7 occupants traveled southbound on Van Buren Road. At the same time, a 1991 Ford Explorer with a single occupant moved eastbound on East Badger Road.
 
The Jeep failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection. Then the Ford struck the Jeep’s passenger side. The impact caused the Jeep to roll over its roof.
 
Paramedics transported all 7 occupants of the Jeep, ages 15 through 51, to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center. Their identities are not available and reports only described the Jeep’s driver as a Tacoma man.
 
Emergency responders also transported Garrison, who drove the Ford, to the same hospital.
 
Authorities determined none of the Jeep occupants nor the driver of the Ford wore seat belts at the time of the incident.
