Fatal Car Crash on Highway 67 in Somervell County

 
SOMERVELL COUNTY, TX (July 17, 2023) – A 3-year-old died and five others, including a toddler and infant, were injured after a car accident on Highway 67 on July 3.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at about six miles east of Glen Rose around 2:15 PM. Based on a report, a Toyota minivan traveled west on the highway when it attempted to make a U-turn. However, a Ford truck traveling east struck the minivan.
 
The child, who was a passenger in the minivan, sustained grave injuries and died.
 
Crews transported a one-month-old passenger to Cook Children’s Medical Center with capacitating injuries.
 
The minivan was carrying two adult passengers, a 19-month-old, a 1-month-old, and the 3-year-old, all of Midlothian. The 1-month-old was transported to Cook Childrens with capacitating injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
