Stolen Car Split in Half, Three Killed in Las Vegas Accident on MLK Boulevard

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (August 22, 2023) – The North Las Vegas Police Department confirmed that three people died in an accident on MLK Boulevard on August 2.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Carey Avenue around 11:57 PM. Based on a report, a stolen Kia Soul subcompact vehicle was speeding southbound on MLK Boulevard at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, its driver lost control and hit a light pole at the corner of the intersection. The collision cut the car in half.
 
As a result, two occupants of the vehicle sustained grave injuries and died in the incident. Another occupant died on the way to the hospital. Officials did not yet release the victims’ identities, pending kin notification.
 
Crews took two other individuals to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
