Fatal Rollover Crash on 225 Freeway at East 6th Avenue in Aurora

 
AURORA, CO (August 2, 2023) – The Aurora Police Department confirmed that one person died in a rollover crash on 225 Freeway on July 16.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at East 6th Avenue around 11:00 PM. Based on a report, a Nissan 200Z with five people inside was traveling northbound on the freeway at time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the driver lost control and crashed into the center median. The vehicle then rolled over in the lanes.
 
As a result, all five people in the vehicle sustained injuries in the crash. Officials said three of the victims later died at the hospital.
 
Officers ask anyone who witnessed the crash to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
