Fatal DUI Motorcycle Crash on Bridge Street in Brighton

 
BRIGHTON, CO (August 2, 2023) – The Brighton Police Department confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle crash on Bridge Street on July 23.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at Street at 50th Avenue around midnight. Based on a report, the 31-year-old man was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Bridge Street at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
 
Due to his speed, he crashed into the passenger side of a pickup truck that was turning left onto southbound 50th Avenue.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Police suspected the driver of the truck, a 35-year-old man, to be under the influence. Officers arrested and booked him into the Adams County Jail on multiple charges, including driving under the influence.
