GRANGER, WA (April 6, 2023) – Officers confirmed that three people from Yakima suffered injuries in a crash on 82 Freeway on April 1.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at milepost 61.
Based on a report, 33-year-old George Quezada was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of the freeway prior to the crash. At the same time, a 24-year-old Yakima woman was going westbound. Consequently, Quezada hit the other vehicle head-on.

Quezada was not hurt in the crash. It appeared drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash and authorities with the Washington State Patrol said charges are pending against him.
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
