One Struck and Killed by DUI Driver on Las Vegas Boulevard at Caesars Palace Drive in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 6, 2023) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Las Vegas Boulevard on April 4.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Caesars Palace Drive around 2:17 AM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing Las Vegas Boulevard in a marked crosswalk from west to east.
At that time, it indicated a “do not walk” signal. Simultaneously, a white Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling northbound on the road with a green traffic signal. Subsequently, the left front of the Chevrolet struck the pedestrian.
As a result, the victim sustained grave injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet showed signs of impairment, and voluntarily submitted to and failed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Officers arrested and booked them into the Clark County Detention Center.
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case.
