TACOMA, WA (April 6, 2023) – The Tacoma Police Department confirmed that one person died in a car crash on Marine View Drive on April 1.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Viewpoint Park shortly before 8:30 AM. Based on a report, two vehicles collided in the lanes.
 
Authorities did not yet release the details that led to the fatal wreck.
 
As a result, at least one person died in this crash. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification.
 
Crews then shut down Marine between Taylor Way and Norpoint Way while they worked at the scene.
