According to officials with the Phoenix Police Department, the accident took place near 3rd Avenue and Missouri Avenue in the evening.
 
First responders arrived at the crash site shortly before 6:00 p.m. and discovered a man with serious injuries. Phoenix Fire Department personnel transported him to a nearby hospital.
