Thomas Byrd Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Round Rock

 
ROUND ROCK, TX (May 11, 2023) – Round Rock Police identified 69-year-old Thomas Byrd of Round Rock in a fatal pedestrian accident on East Palm Valley Boulevard on May 8.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just west of A.W. Grimes Boulevard near the HEB around 9:05 PM. Based on a report, Byrd was walking near the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, Byrd suffered grave injuries in the incident. Police said first responders gave CPR but the man died at the scene.
 
Police said the driver stayed behind and cooperated with them.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
