Terrica Dutton Struck and Killed by Vehicle on CR 6900 in Lubbock

 
LUBBOCK, TX (August 17, 2023) – Officials identified 26-year-old Terrica Dutton of Wolfforth who died in a pedestrian accident on CR 6900 on August 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened during early morning. Based on a report, Dutton was jogging westbound on the north side of the roadway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 68-year-old Billy Hicks was driving a car westbound on the road. Hicks attempted to move over to allow another vehicle traveling eastbound to pass when he struck Dutton with the front right portion of his car.
 
As a result, Dutton sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Hicks was not hurt in the incident.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
