Teenager Struck by Vehicle on Civic Center Drive in North Las Vegas

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (February 28, 2023) North Las Vegas Police confirmed that a teenage boy suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian accident on Civic Center Drive on February 23.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Tonopah Avenue at approximately 1:23 PM. Based on a report, the victim was walking inside a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered serious injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to UMC Trauma in critical condition.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
 
Police did not believe that speed and impairment were factors in the crash.
