Teen Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Naranja Drive in Oro Valley

 
ORO VALLEY, AZ (March 23, 2023) – The Oro Valley Police Department confirmed a teen died in a pedestrian accident on West Naranja Drive on March 17.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at North Pomegranate Drive shortly before 1:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim and another girl were in the lanes with a dog riding in a stroller. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck them.
 
As a result, one of the girls died in the accident. Officials did not yet release her name, pending next of kin notification.
 
The other girl involved suffered serious injuries. The dog was also killed in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into what led up to the crash is ongoing.
