Caylynn Simpson Arrested after Hitting Police Vehicles in Scottsdale

 
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (March 23, 2023) Scottsdale Police arrested Caylynn Simpson of Phoenix following a crash on 82nd Place on March 18.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Indian School Road around 1:20 AM. Based on a report, Simpson was driving a Toyota Tacoma at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she slammed into four separate police vehicles at the intersection.
 
As a result, an arrestee in the backseat of one of the patrol cars and an officer standing near him received minor injuries in the incident.
 
In addition, the impact damaged all four police vehicles, and at least two needed to be towed from the scene.
 
Officers arrested and booked Simpson into the Scottsdale City Jail on DUI charges, including Extreme DUI and Reckless Driving & Endangerment.
 
As of now, an investigation into what led up to the crash is ongoing.
